Given what the current icon is, I had to seek inspiration from the immortal William McGonagall
Let us write in praise of checked cloth and the kilt
And a wearer who is so exceedingly hot he makes forty eight year old women wilt.
The sight of the plaid is not to be sneered at one bit
For it is worn by many a man who is not just bonny and brawny but very talented and funny and amazingly fit.
And the true Scot, when asked if anything is worn beneath the tartan, north of the border
Gives the only correct and acceptable answer, vis ‘No, I can assure you that it’s all in perfect working order!’
