Places with 'atmosphere'

mylodonBeen thinking about Ground Zero, which we visited last year to pay our respects.
Thos of you who know me well also know I'm a sucker for graveyards, especially military ones, and end up all of a lather. charliecochrane will be doing a similar thing on heroes.
Thirty odd years ago we spent a very wet holiday in a tent in Derbyshire. On one of the few dry days we visited Eyam. It was one of the eeriest places I'd ever been, as if the memory of all those deaths and sadness couldn't be eradicated.
