Reporting in from the panto front line
Jan. 11th, 2009 01:48 pmJust back, still glowing from watching John Barrowman as Robin Hood.
What can I say that's not been said before? He sings and dances beautifully, he looks hot in green boots, brown velour trousers, open necked, billowing sleeved white shirt and slashed doublet. He looks even better when he's in a white skating outfit with VPL. He's wonderfully funny, especially when he's taking the mick out of his own sexuality. And did I say he was hot?
The whole panto was brilliant, Paul Zerdin - the ventriloquist - proving absolutely hilarious and Don Maclean (no, not the American one) funny as ever. John didn't talk to me from the stage (just as well given last year's incoherence) but 'The Sherriff' did, telling me off three times for having my feet near his stairs. Did have John pass within six inches of me as he came on disguised as 'Dick of Dudley' and got a lovely smile from him during one of the songs. *sighs*
He didn't do the stage door as he had a prior engagement, but there's always next year and Cardiff. Got my tickets already? Of course...
