We even had the better songs...
Oct. 1st, 2012 01:50 pmCan't believe what happened last night, except it must have been true because I got out of bed to watch it and am cream crackered from having stayed up to see the speeches.
We won. Against all the blooming odds, we won the Ryder Cup.
Not sure if it was the spirit of Seve, the clarion call of Olazabal, the players or our secret weapon - the songs of the fans. May have been a touch cruel for them to be singing "Always look on the bright side of life" when US had lost, but the rest of the repertoire, from "Old Luke Donald had a farm" ("and on that farm there were some birdies") via "There's only two Molinaris" to (when David Love praised his wife's support) "There's only one Mrs Love" and including much else, was great!
