We've had pretty comprehensive news coverage of Irene as she passed through, but not so much about the trail of devastation she left. Just heard from my lovely mate Ted in NY state who's been without power, water or phone since early on Sunday and may be so for another week. He's OK, the house is OK, but fetching water from rain butts to flush the loo is no fun.
