When I think of all the atrocities committed in the name of God, from burnings at the stake to covering up child abuse because of "the church's reputation" I get really hot under the collar. Unchristian ideas involving wielding a baseball bat hot under the collar.

Would Jesus have moved a paedophile priest quietly to another parish so he could carry on abusing? No.

Would Jesus have killed someone because they held opposing views to his? No.
