Sorry I've been a bit quiet - just busy, that's all. nodbear and I will be doing our lent postings as usual (lent is approaching at a rate of knots, I see!) and I'll try harder at posting other stuff too.

I offer you an orchid as a sign of contrition.

lovely orchid :) we have two here as well which I try to care for and sometimes just sit and admire

meanwhile got to post some poetry which hopefully both yesterday's birthday girl eglantine_br and amaraal tomorrow's birthday girl will like
and finish my editorial corrections ( fortunately very few!) and try to make lemon tart between now and lunchtime - yikes

What a busy girl!

The orchid is my triumph - Cathy left it here when she moved out back end of 2014 and it looked dead. No idea how I coaxed such a show out of it - there are 6 flowers now, all just as lovely.

I don't like pink, either, but was so tickled pink at the resurrected plant it could have been sky blue pink with yellow dots and I'd have been happy.

It is thriving on healthy neglect and a once a week watering. I do talk to it, though.

They do love being talked to... But some plants are mimoses. If you give them names they die!
