It's that drummer boy again! (And both versions I've shared have featured somebody whose loss this year has made the world a sadder place.)
The other thing that annoyed my about that letter which suggested songs like this aren't suitable for Christmas, was that it ignored the deeply spiritual message the song contains. All the drummer boy can offer is his talent on the drum so he plays it for Jesus. How brilliant is that? We can't all be Mother Teresa or Henry Kissinger or Nelson Mandela, but we can use our own special talents to make our own small corner of the world a better place.

Some people can be so narrow minded when it comes to faith and spirituality. Things where I believe we should be as open and all encompassing as possible.
