Little reasons to be cheerful

I spent all day yesterday on the Isle of Wight training school governors. As we whizzed over the Solent, I sat in a big comfy chair right by the window, looking at the sun on the water and thinking "I'm being paid for this". And then one of the governors I had to train turned out to be the widow of Reginald Marsh, who was one of those unforgettable character actors who made/make British comedy what it is. *happy sighs*

I know. I get to go to all sorts of lovely places - cream of English villages! - along side the less salubrious ones.
