I think he's supposed to be in his early thirties in the show. And Horry is, what, 27 in Loyalty/Duty? So a bit older, infinitely more world weary and suffering from the genocide he has witnessed.

how was loyalty/duty? haven't had a chance to see those (and wasn't sure it would be worth it without archie) and what genocide is this? Did something really bad happen in france or something?!! I think i missed that ...

I think she meant the genocide on BSG. I've not seen Loyalty/Duty for the same lack-of-crumpet reasons.
