Title: The varying shore o' th' world 2/? Rating: PG Pairing: Horatio/Apollo Summary: The dynamic duo set sail. Written in collaboration with calavarna and to be found in her journal here Notes: Hornblower and BSG are most definitely not ours.
Don't worry about stream of consciousness comments on my journal - you should see some of the things I come out with! Awww. you're kind. I'm glad. I do try to be more organised and concise but then there's all that about the road to hell paved with good intentions ...
Besides, you mentioned Jack and Archie in almost the same sentence and I'd forgive anything for that :P the two of them do form either ends of a continuum of loveliness, eh? I do like jack but i must admit recently, reading more of archie, i've really fallen for him again. But jack can sing ... and he does have a great smile ... *weighs* the jury's still out on that one.
They're just a bit too similar in a way. (Good grief, I just finished school and am *still* analysing things to death...) Oh that's really interesting. I don't know much about adama - i was looking at his homesickness and separation and concern he may not get back to his own time. But i vaguely something about his not having a good relationship with his dad. I don't know what to think about aos!horatio's family - they're just not there ... his mom died when he was so young and then dad just seemed to disappear. Not necessarily a nefarious guy just absent, which perhaps made him long for family. I remember soemthing in lt h about his 'joy in knowing there was a human being who cared he was alive or dead' and so assumed he just didn't have any other family ... but maybe that does explain why he's so good with his kids (in the books) when he comes along b/c it's his way of making up for his family ... you know the guy is great fodder for a pyschological study since csf casts us into his mind so much. have to make use of it. *must think more on that* But yeah, i look forward to seeing the tempestuous-ness (yeah, that's a word ...).
